San Antonio’s Sangria on the Burg may be known for its mind-blowing flights of its namesake drink, but chef-owner Caesar Zepeda has long worked to make his food a star attraction.
To that end, Zepeda unveiled a new spring menu that favors Alamo City flavors, including Texas BBQ and Mexican spices. Among other things, new items include brisket salad, fideo, pork belly bites, and brisket spring rolls.
Since opening the restaurant in the medical center area in 2016, Zepeda has become a prominent member of the local culinary community, regularly participating in charity competitions and teaming up with other chefs for cooking revivals.
Located at 5115 Fredericksburg Road, the restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
