The first of the chain’s lobster dishes is a summer take on Panera’s macaroni and cheese, a popular side dish of shell pasta tossed in a creamy aged white cheddar cheese sauce. This fancy version, however, is topped with buttered lobster claws and shank meat and has a breadcrumb topping, according to the channel’s press release. Panera’s lobster roll, meanwhile, will feature lobster in a New England buttery roll. fans of Maine style lobster rolls will be happy to know that the claw and shank meat is seasoned with lemon tarragon mayo, rather than butter.

Despite Panera’s fast-paced and laid-back atmosphere, lobster fans should still be prepared to pay a premium for limited-time menu items. Depending on the location, the lobster mac and cheese will cost customers up to $10.99 for a small portion or $19.99 for a large one, while the roll will cost up to $25.99. Diners can also try on the items as part of a You Pick Two promotion (for a premium price).

Unfortunately for much of America, these limited-time lobster items will only be available at the nearly 200 Panera restaurants located across the Northeastern United States, meaning landlocked lobster lovers should getting ready to make their own lobster rolls and macaroni and cheese this summer. .
