New Japanese-inspired menu at Rebar

Dine on neo-Japanese cuisine while taking in sweeping views of the Chicago River and Michigan Avenue Bridge at rebarlocated on the mezzanine level of the Trump International Chicago Hotel and Tower. The chic bar recently presented a new menu, created in collaboration with KamehachiChicago’s first sushi restaurant.


Rebar’s menu of neo-Japanese dishes was curated by Chef KW of Kamehachi, who has been a sushi institution in Chicago for over 40 years. Rebar’s sushi is expertly prepared, using only the highest quality ingredients. For a starter, try the Truffled Tuna Tataki, made with bluefin tuna, truffle ponzo and spicy mayonnaise. Mono Maki options include the Rebar roll, filled with a mixture of snow crab, unagi, and avocado. There are also nigiri, such as hamachi (yellow series) and ikura (salmon roe). Entrees include black cod in miso and seared Hokkaido scallops. A new Japanese-inspired menu is available 7 days a week from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily and from 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays

Pair your sushi with a creative craft cocktail. The Saketini combines sake with Ketel One Botanical vodka, cucumber, club soda and mint. Kyoto penicillin is a mixture of Japanese Kikori whiskey, lemon juice, honey and ginger. Rebar also offers an extensive, carefully curated small-batch wine, beer, and spirits list, with a spotlight on top trends.

On Friday and Saturday nights, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Rebar turns up the sound with live DJs and bottle service.
