Observed annually on the third Sunday of July in the United States, National Ice Cream Day will be celebrated this year on July 17.
The day was created in 1984 by former US President Ronald Reagan to glorify the US dairy industry.
President Reagen had also declared July National Ice Cream Month.
On this special occasion, check out these five unique ice cream recipes.
Rose ice cream and tender coconut
Boil the cold milk with the sugar. Add the cornstarch-cold milk mixture and mix well. Let cool.
Then add crème fraiche and a flavoring mixture of chopped rose petals, rose essence and tender coconut meat, and mix well.
Pour this mixture into an aluminum container, cover with aluminum foil and freeze for six hours.
Then mix the mixture and freeze it again for 10 hours.
Grind the betel leaves and lemon juice together. Mix together the paan juice, dried dates, cardamom powder, gulkandand fennel seeds.
Boil the milk with the sugar. Add the cornmeal and cold milk mixture and simmer for five minutes.
Leave to cool, add the paan mixture of aromas and fresh cream and mix well.
Pour into a shallow container and freeze until muddy.
Mix the mixture, add the menthol and freeze again.
This vegetable ice cream made from fresh carrots is healthy and will satisfy your dessert cravings.
Add the heavy cream, milk, salt, granulated sugar and light brown sugar to a saucepan and whisk well.
Add chopped carrots and simmer. Cool the mixture and freeze for some time.
Then blend the mixture, add vinegar and mix well.
Freeze again a few hours before serving.
Mix the chopped peaches with the corn syrup until smooth.
Mix cold milk, condensed milk, cinnamon powder, peach puree and lemon juice.
Pour it into a shallow aluminum dish, cover it with foil and freeze for about six hours.
Then blend this mixture, transfer it to the dish and freeze it again for at least 10 hours until set.
Unmold and serve immediately.

Boil the water with the sugar, add the green tea powder and mix well.
Leave to cool and strain the mixture. Add sugar and egg yolks to a saucepan and mix well.
Add the cream, milk and green tea syrup and cook for two minutes.
Let cool and refrigerate for four to five hours. Pick up and serve.
