• A bi-monthly magazine containing 45 exclusive and delicious recipes will be available in all M&S-owned stores across the UK from Saturday
  • Sparks members will be able to get a free glossy magazine by scanning their loyalty card at checkout
  • The first edition of Spring Feasts features expert wine advice from Fred Sirieix, recipes from Chef Chris Baber and an interview of Easter favorites with M&S Ambassador and comedian Tom Allen

M&S is launching a new bi-monthly food magazine designed to provide the ultimate recipe and product inspiration at a great price for its 30 million customers across the UK.

Perfect for easy midweek meals and casual weekend feasts, the 72-page magazine goes on sale for £2 from tomorrow, available in stores. The retailer’s more than 15 million Sparks customers will be able to get the magazine for free by scanning their Sparks card at checkout.

The first issue, Spring Feasts, focuses on the best seasonal spring produce from UK growers, with 45 delicious recipes. From creamy seasonal orzo with simmered zucchini and asparagus to a guaranteed family favorite of Japanese-style Katsu Chicken Curry from chef Chris Baber’s new book.

The launch is part of M&S’s commitment to delivering trusted value to customers and the magazine will feature a regular, cost-effective column focusing on its Remarksable Value range.

Readers will get a taste of Easter favorites and kitchen fails from M&S Ambassador and comedian Tom Allen, while fellow Ambassador, wine expert and TV star Fred Sirieix shares his top rosé selections, the start of a regular segment in the magazine.

There will also be twists on the classic Sunday roast with chicken, lamb and sausage, decadent baking recipes using M&S’s new single-origin chocolate, and inspiration and styling tips for household items.

Replacing M&S’s existing quarterly Fresh magazine, the larger, more regular Food magazine will provide another benefit to Sparks customers. Customers can sign up for Sparks by downloading the M&S app on their smartphone or signing up through the M&S website, where they will have access to personalized offers and the chance to earn their purchases for free.

The magazine is edited by M&S Food Editor-in-Chief, Heather Taylor, and art direction is provided by Helen Richardson, who works alongside a team of leading photographers and food stylists.

Sharry Cramond, Marketing Director of M&S Food, said:

“Our new magazine aims to bring more M&S magic directly to our customers at a great price. Our recipes are designed to be relevant for everyone, with budget-friendly meal ideas, the best seasonal spreads and gourmet weekend treats. Combined with celebrity interviews and expert advice from our Ambassadors, we are thrilled to launch the magazine in our Foodhalls.

The launch of the magazine is also another great reason for customers to join our Sparks loyalty program, to benefit from personalized offers, relevant treats and to help us support local communities and good causes.”
