Shake Shack has teamed up with Chef Joseph “JJ” Johnson to roll out their latest collaboration in the “Now Serving” Chef Collaborative Series. The burger chain last teamed up with Dominique Crenn to present a limited edition grilled cheese sandwich.
For the latest limited-time menu, JJ took inspiration from the Caribbean flavors of his childhood dishes as well as his travels and concocted the Little J’s Burger which is wrapped with a Gruyere cheeseburger – made from 100% Angus beef. – topped with braised bacon, onion mayo, lettuce and tomato on a grilled potato bun. The burger comes with Curry Crunch Fries that Chef JJ has sprinkled with his signature curry crunch over Shake Shack’s classic crunchy cups.
“When I think of collaborations for myself and FIELDTRIP, I always seek to align myself with brands that have similar views and values. Shake Shack is all about community and what better place to collaborate than with Harlem Shake Shack, where I call my home, ”said JJ Johnson, Chef and Founder of FIELDTRIP. “I am delighted that the Harlem community is discovering the FIELDTRIP flavors on Little J Burger and Curry Crunch Fries. Shake Shack is beloved in my home so this is an exciting time for myself, FIELDTRIP, the community and my family.
Priced at $ 8.49 and $ 3.99 respectively, the new burger and fries will be on the menu starting October 28 at Shake Shack in Harlem, NY while supplies last. Proceeds from the menu will be donated to Rethink Food, a non-profit organization whose mission is to create a more sustainable and equitable food system.
