Hidden Gem IRO restaurant stands out with artisanal menu options


CHARLOTTE, NC – When considering going out for a drink or a bite to eat, many wouldn’t consider a hotel restaurant, but that might change after seeing the options for Hyatt Centric Southpark Charlotte’s new IRO .

IRO is a restaurant, bar and lounge nestled on the second floor of the hotel. The location offers an extensive menu that can touch anyone’s palette.

When the elevator doors open to the second floor, visitors enter the bar and lounge which provides a very relaxed environment with a high class atmosphere.

IRO offers a one-of-a-kind drinking experience with a menu of creative cocktails crafted by mixologist Ed Parowski including handcrafted cocktail syrups.

Cocktail options include fruity delights such as Stone Cold Mule and Hazel Made Me Do It; along with other flavor-rich favorites including the element of surprise and shift change.

The bar and lounge also host events including Wine Down Wednesdays where patrons can sample $ 5 wines while relaxing to live music from Charlotte area musicians from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. .

The bar also offers a taste of Charlotte with local a la carte drinks.

The taste buds travel from Charlotte to culturally influenced dishes inspired by different parts of the world at the restaurant.

Whether the customer is looking for a breakfast treat or an evening treat, IRO will not let customers down with its curated menu.

Highlights of the breakfast menu include a southern classic with a twist with a “build your own bowl of grit” that includes toppings such as cheese, veg and bacon or sausage; an Egg Sammie with sausages, eggs and a tasty siracha aioli; and French toast topped with vanilla honey and served with a blueberry compote. The restaurant is open for breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Restaurant patrons can enjoy meals for lunch with sharing plate options such as pork Mac n ‘Cheese with jalapeño barbecue sauce and tangy chicken wings with hot Gochujang sauce, black sesame and green onions with side dishes. staples like Tuna and Salmon Poke Bowl, Fish Tacos with Ginger Mild Chili Aioli, Coleslaw and Spicy Lemon Kosho Sauce, and Crispy Chicken Sando with Milk Bread, Honey Mustard and Japanese Pickles.

The menu offerings are prepared by the inspirations of in-house chef Dustin Hildebrandt displaying Japanese and Southern fusion.

Lunch is offered from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Besides breakfast and lunch, the restaurant also offers a selection of desserts. Notable options include the pecan brownie bar with vanilla ice cream, feuilletine flakes and caramel sauce and the crème brûlée cheesecake with vanilla custard, nut crumble and chocolate truffle.
