Edinburgh is getting a new dessert restaurant with a ‘mammoth menu’ and dog treats


Edinburgh has welcomed a new dessert cafe to the city center as the team behind Eats, the shack behind the wheel, have just opened their second location.

After becoming popular among locals for the innovative idea of ​​a drive-through dessert cafe near Niddrie, Eats quickly became known throughout the city for its excellent milkshakes, cookie dough and cakes, as well as for its bread rolls and other savory dishes.

The team has teased followers on social media over the past few weeks with the opening of their second store, offering customers limited seating and takeout options, as well as availability on delivery platforms. of food.

On their Instagram, they posted: “We are delighted to announce that Eats #2 will open this Thursday at 57a Home Street, just next to the King’s Theater in Edinburgh city centre.

“You’ll be able to take out, order delivery or sit down and dive into our massive menu – with brand new additions to this menu we’ll be unveiling soon.”

Tollcross was chosen by the team, acting as a prime location for locals and tourists alike, with the cafe opening today, February 3.

Speaking about their new location, the team said: “Our Tollcross opening is a permanent outlet with take-out and limited seating – this is the second unit for us as we look to expand across the UK and this is the second location in Edinburgh – we currently have our drive-thru in Duddingston Park South.

“We will be serving our beloved menu at the drive-thru, including some new additions that will only be available at Tollcross – waffles and churros.
