Scrambled tofu

This recipe makes a perfect breakfast. Start by mixing spices like cumin, thyme, paprika and turmeric in a bowl containing three tablespoons of water. Heat a little oil, add the broken tofu and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Let the mixture cook for about seven to eight minutes.

Once the underside of the tofu is golden, add the spice blend and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the water has evaporated.

Adjust salt and pepper to taste and serve with cilantro as a garnish. You can also add sautéed vegetables to your scrambled tofu.

Cut the tofu into cubes. Toss the tofu cubes in the olive oil, tamari sauce and arrowroot starch. Once done, add a few broccoli florets with a little kosher salt, a little more olive oil and black pepper.

This simple tofu recipe takes virtually no time. However, you need to make sure that you completely drain the water from the tofu block before you marinate it. To make the marinade, opt for soy, citrus, or vinegar-based mixes instead of oil for a healthier version of this dish.

Once done, dip the marinated tofu pieces in the cornstarch to make them super crisp. Sear the tofu in sesame or coconut oil and sprinkle with salt before serving.

Tofu stir-fry

This dish is as good as it looks. For this recipe, add the tofu to salted boiling water and simmer for about two minutes. Take it out and cut the tofu into pieces. While still hot, soak the tofu pieces in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil and black pepper.

Once done, mix the pieces in the cornstarch, then fry the tofu pieces in very hot oil. Cook until the edges of the tofu are golden brown. Keep them aside and reduce the oil in the pan to a teaspoon. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, water, brown sugar and cornstarch to the pan and continue to stir until the mixture thickens. All you have to do is add the fried tofu to the sauce. Tofu balls

Tofu skewers

To make mouthwatering tofu skewers, place a few shallots in a bowl filled with boiling water and set aside for a few minutes. While the shallots are soaking, boil the potatoes in a saucepan until tender.
